1/16 - 7:30 PM Club Meeting: Bicycle Upkeep by Cons Gattuso, Ben Schapiro, and Phil Sandler
The ideal time to take care of maintenance on your bike is during the season when you are likely to do less riding. Benefits of a well-tuned bike are the ability to go faster and further with more comfort and less effort.

Three speakers will each address popular maintenance models:
1) Do it yourself
2) Take it to a full service bicycle shop, and, a relatively new option
3) Mobile bike repair

You will learn home workshop space considerations, tools needed, and training available for the home mechanic and, if you’d rather outsource to a professional, how to talk to a bicycle technician, what routine maintenance is recommended and how frequently and what the mobile bike shop experience is like.

Cons Gattuso is a hobby home bike mechanic, Ben Schapiro is the co-owner of Everyday Cycles in Evanston, and Phil Sandler is the owner and operator of Velofix Chicago North Shore.
